Yoga for Children with Special Needs
With a background in education from Middlebury College and experience in special education classrooms, I’ve worked closely with children of diverse needs. Through these experiences, I realized that while we encourage children to learn and overcome challenges, we often overlook how they feel in their own bodies.
My mission as a yoga instructor is to lead personalized classes that allow children to feel supported, move safely, experience calmness and ultimately feel grounded and empowered in both their body and mind.
Each session is thoughtfully designed to support the child’s unique needs and abilities and incorporates nervous system regulation techniques, supportive postures, breathing exercises and playful movement activities.
